hello all

as of today, dec 14th @ 2:38 pm est i have only had two local universities go as far as saying they would check us out, and g et back to me. Not one other business seems open to using us over say careerbuilder.com ect. I explain the lack of costs ect, but so far....... its hard to get through to folks. I have called many many places, and will continue to do so and will leave word here. I am saddened as I see the other cities posting already, and have to wonder what they said to the companies to get approval to use thier listings.
Could some of the other city Admin's post here with their stories so we can get an idea.

I agree, as I am finding that many places are not receptive about using their listings. I am hoping to ferret out a good intro letter to use in place of a call or email asking , as the employment places ( companies ) just have never heard of IPSO, it would really help if one or two larger places , say Google or Lowes would sign up for use, it would give us a boost in the legitimacy department.
And yes, please a FAQ.
For now, if any of the citie Admins wish to meet to talk over the ways they are working on this, I have begun a yahoo group to meet in that will be members only, it may help us work on this better.

My interpretation of this post was that it was okay to simply post jobs from other job boards on here as long as the contact info was available. I see that's not the case now.

An FAQ would be very useful as I saw a suggestion for one in these comments already. I think "public information" needs to be clearly defined as well...

Hi John,

it is legal as long as you ask for permission to the source of the job listing.

regards

Another suggestion, tho a small one is maybe to change the wording for BABYSITTER, to Child Care, it opens up the area. Child Care here is a big business, not just done in the home anymore.
:-)
I wonder too, who is using a formal introduction letter in any email contacts they have with the various companies they contact. I find many of my contact so far have email, however I have nothing in the way of a formal letter to use but would like to have one.
